Fast and Reliable TI DSP-Based Low Voltage Servomotor Driver

Toronto, Canada – GAO Embedded ( has announced the availability of its low voltage servomotor driver. The fast and reliable servomotor driver solution is comprised of three components: an EVM2812 board containing the DSP, an LVD, or Low Voltage Driver, and an IB2812 board serving as the interface.

The servomotor driver is designed for use with high performance Digital Motor Control (DMC) systems. This LV servomotor driver is commonly used in such applications as digital motor or machine control, packing mechanisms, UPS, VFC (variable frequency control) and electrical control. The MCK2812 low voltage servomotor driver boasts a special purpose chip with SPI interface to interface with the nixie tube display and push button keys. It is protected against such conditions as over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage and over-heating. This servomotor driver directly connects with one or two DC brush/brushless servomotor/s, AC asynchronous motor/s, AC permanent-magnet synchronous servomotor/s or stepper motor/s to form a digital servo-motion control system. It is equipped with an on-board IEEE1149 JTAG interface for real-time emulation and includes standard RS232 and a CAN communication interface.The evaluation board operates with SY-EVM281 via MCBUS and offers A/D power supply and A/D reference voltage to ensure the accuracy of A/D sampling.
