Whitehall Woman Goes Barefoot in Namibia

Whitehall civil servant Diane Engelbrecht has tossed aside her grey suits and smart shoes to swap them for a barefoot life in the desert country of Namibia.

She has fallen so in love with the wide open spaces, dramatic landscapes and amazing wildlife that she has set up a tour company Barefoot Namibia, to show other Brits around this unique country. Diane says ”Namibia has such wonderful spaces that it truly is a holiday for the soul. Living here is so relaxing and sunny ” I don’t miss any aspect of Central London life. I can get just about everything here ” except for pork pies, which I do miss sometimes!Namibia is Africa’s hidden gem and I would be so happy to help other Brits to discover its wonders.”

Diane will give all visitors her personal touch and remain in close contact while they explore this awe inspiring land. There are tour itineraries to suit everyone from families to honeymooners, photographers to birdwatchers and all tours can be tailored to suit. She can even arrange an amazing wedding in the desert! Barefoot Namibia accommodation comes in 3 different styles; luxury, standard and camping which can be mixed to suit every budget.

World Cup Football fans can also combine their footy matches with a Namibia tour for less than a 2 hour flight.

Barefoot Namibia follows Responsible Travel guidelines so not only do you get a great experience, but your holiday benefits local people and the environment.
