Learning technologies and talent management focus of new business report

A new business report released by SuccessFactors, an SAP company and Business Execution software provider, focuses on the impact of learning technologies on talent management, business agility, and business efficiency. The report, titled ‘Boosting Business Agility’, is the annual benchmark report of the ‘Towards Maturity Ambassador Programme’ of which SuccessFactors is a founding member.

Due to the current economic climate, organisations are forced to revisit learning strategies; poor skills are shackling the economy. According to the report, 47 percent of employers recognise that their staff lacks the skills to do their job. There are clearly some large gaps that need to be filled. As a result, growth is being affected.

The results reveal that 77 percent of organisations believe learning technologies will help them respond faster to changing business conditions and that 69 percent are looking to improve their talent management strategies.

Learning is not just about pushing formal generic programmes into the business. Learning is about discovering new methods and technologies that can improve productivity and performance in the workplace.
