During Nobel Week in Stockholm in December, there is a new addition to the official program of activities, a multidisciplinary science conference called Nobel Week Dialogue. The goal is to provide an opportunity for an engaged public to meet Nobel Laureates, leading experts and opinion leaders, to join in discussions about current topics related to the Nobel Prize categories.
The first conference is focused on “The Genetic Revolution and its Impact on Society” and takes place in Stockholm on 9 December.
“Nobel Week Dialogue is a welcome addition to Nobel Week and we will look towards the future and highlight current science related issues. The leading names from the world of science, representatives from the public sector, the business world and the public will have a chance to meet”, says Lars Heikensten, Executive Director of the Nobel Foundation.
“Research and knowledge forums are vital for our future development, this is why I have decided to support Nobel Week Dialogue. It is important to build and encourage these kinds of discussions and meetings,” says industrialist and main financial contributor, Carl Bennet.
