First Consumer-Based Online Database Dedicated to Green Products Launches

Proven Sustainable is excited to announce the launch of its website aimed at promoting reputable green products and certification organizations. After months of research, Proven Sustainable is able to provide consumers and professionals with valuable information about sustainable product certifications, validations, declarations, and the organizations offering these services.

The goal of the website is to provide clarity and confidence to the green product marketplace which has become cluttered with unsubstantiated claims and eco-labels. The website is divided into three main areas. The Certification Center identifies and describes the marketplace’s most respected eco-labels, certifications, validations, and declarations, as well as accredited certification organizations. The Info Guide & Blog provides industry insight, eco-tips, and advice on sustainable living, operations, and development. The Green Product Guide lists a variety of appliances, building materials, interior design products, and consumable goods with their full array of third-party environmental verification  certifications, and declarations so buyers can avoid green-washing. The Green Product Guide incorporates a GreenScale to help visitors quickly identify products with multiple green attributes. An EcoPerk feature also helps identify additional environmental attributes which may not require certification. For example, a product made out of bamboo would receive an EcoPerk for being a rapidly renewable material.
