John Gibson Associates (JGA), a leading motor recruitment firm, has launched its new website that allows job hunters to search for the latest vacancies and automotive companies to advertise for new personnel. Candidates can post their CVs online and browse exclusive employment opportunities not found elsewhere. And when they find a suitable vacancy, JGA interview the candidate to assess suitability before passing them on to the company concerned.
“Standing still has never been for John Gibson Associates,” explained John Gibson, Managing Director of JGA. “We were one of the first automotive recruiters to have a website, the first to use personality testing, and we built our business on the speed and convenience of the internet to deliver a better service to our clients.”
“Our old website was recognised as the best in the industry and directly integrated with our management system to give candidates the opportunity of keeping their details 100% up to date. But never being happy to sit on our laurels we wanted more for our clients, candidates and regional offices. More 24-hour, 365-day accessibility, more logic, more speed and more user friendliness, so we could continue to deliver world class recruitment services across the UK motor trade. The new, much-improved website was born from that way of thinking.”
The new website was developed to reflect the business’s commitment to animal welfare and its support of many wildlife charities. By using images of animals and clever captions beneath them, the site remained practical and easy to use, as well as pleasing on the eye. JGA’s previous website was viewed as one of the best in the industry but needed to be optimised properly and completely rebuilt so it would retain its position as the premier site for job-seekers and leading motor trade manufacturers and dealers.
John Morrison, Operations Director of John Gibson Associates, said “Technology advances at such a pace that the very latest ‘must have’ item is out of date by the time the necessary funds have been assembled to make the purchase! In a similar vein our old website, which was often quoted as industry leading and excellent by those individuals actually using it, was fast becoming outdated, despite, on the surface, being just as professional as always, so we have taken the opportunity to refresh the whole site.”
Manchester-based digital marketing company Lethal Marketing was given the responsibility of updating the design, build and development of the site. The company, headquartered in the city centre, completed the whole process before giving control of the site back to JGA. Early results show the site is now ranking well on Google and other search engines.
