|London, United Kingdom – HOLT’S is a British owned women’s footwear brand focused on using non-animal derived materials to replace leather. The company creates an alternative luxe through synthetic velvet, high quality faux suede, recycled PU faux leathers, neoprene and non-silk satins without compromising on design, detail and quality.
The concept was born in 2014 after the company’s 32 year old founder Victoria Evans embraced a cruelty free lifestyle. “Leathers, furs and silks are viewed as the hallmark of quality in luxury fashion,” Victoria explains. “I believe that there are women like me who are conscious of animal rights issues; women who aren’t comfortable wearing animal skins but also enjoy owning beautifully crafted shoes.”
“In 2018 I handpicked a team of creatives from across the world to start developing the brand. Just six months later we chose to launch with the eye-catching STARLING stiletto sandal design.”
The style is inspired by the Cymru Kenyan Starling bird with a shimmering blue synthetic velvet body and a teal ankle strap detail. A black, high quality faux suede toe vamp is embellished with individually hand stitched “evil eye” beads. Further details include a stitched tan faux leather inner, embossed with the HOLT’S logo and a tan outer sole embellished with a dark metallic “H” badge logo. For comfort and ease of walking, the sole is designed with a black rubber grip.
The STARLING stiletto sandal is a statement heel designed to complement metallic, nude, white, black, blue and teal garments and also contrasts perfectly against citrus tones.
The shoes are made in small volume releases in an artisanal studio in Chengdu, China. Victoria says, “I’m proud to work with these craftsmen, their eye for detail and design is exceptional.”
The debut STARLING stiletto sandal will be available for sale online at www.holts.store from 10 October 2018
